Position: Operations Support Technician.

Cleaning Systems Ltd is looking for a hands-on Operations Support Technician to join our East Tamaki team. Reporting to the General Manager, this role provides practical support across our workshop, electrical, warehouse, and logistics functions — helping ensure smooth, reliable daily operations across the business.

Position Purpose

To provide hands-on operational support across workshop, electrical, warehouse, and logistics functions. This role ensures business continuity and smooth daily operations by combining practical workshop capability with reliable administrative and logistics support.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Business Support

Provide general assistance for customer enquiries related to ordering, tracking, or service.
Support internal teams (sales, service, training) as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in customer experience and operational efficiency.

Workshop & Electrical Support

Provide support to the Workshop Manager and Electrician — including equipment setup, testing, and documentation.
Assist with truckmount installations, servicing, and health checks.
Support recordkeeping for service jobs and parts inventory through MechanicDesk.

Warehouse & Logistics Support

Assist with stock movements, inventory accuracy, and dispatch coordination during peak periods or absences.
Ensure accurate data entry into Unleashed and coordination of freight documentation.
Help streamline warehouse processes and maintain operational readiness.

Skills & Attributes

Practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to switch between workshop and office tasks.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
Problem-solving and initiative — able to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Comfortable using everyday business systems (e.g. Unleashed, MechanicDesk) for data entry and reporting.
Polite, courteous, and a strong focus on customer engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

Familiarity with electrical or mechanical workshop environments is a requirement.
Experience in warehouse, logistics, or technical service operations desirable.
Trade background or relevant vocational experience preferred.
Prior experience in a multi-functional or customer-facing support role an advantage.

Accuracy and timeliness of warehouse, logistics, and workshop support tasks.
Responsiveness to internal support requests.
Quality and reliability of support provided to Workshop Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Electrician.
Accuracy of data entry and reporting across business systems.
Contribution to business process improvements and cross-department collaboration.
