Safe Clean by KemSpec is an extraction chemical rinse that works effectively on both upholstery and carpet. Our experience shows that leaving fibers and fabrics in an acidic state after cleaning helps prevent browning. (Replaces Textile Rinse)

Using Safe Clean:

  • Stabilize dye systems.
  • Safe for use on all natural and synthetic fibers.
  • Can be used as a fiber prep as the first step in a re-dying process for on-location nylon and wool dyeing.
  • Effective in neutralizing urine residue (odor) prior to deodorization.
  • Effectively removes road salt and calcium chloride deposits.
  • Can be used to speed drying time for Flood Restoration.
  • Economical: Highly concentrated Safe Clean’s dilution ratio allows for large quantities of “Ready To Use Solution”.

pH: 2.5-3.5

Directions:

Pretest for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before use.

For carpets and rugs 

  • For portable machines add 200-800ml to 20 litres of water to rinse, as the final step in cleaning the carpet.
  • For truckmounts add 500ml per 10 litres to the chemical mix jug and set the flowmeter at 2-3 or according to truckmount manufacturer’s instructions.

For upholstery

    • For portable equipment add 120ml to 5 litres of plain water to rinse fabric as the final step in a wet cleaning process.
    • Safe Clean can also be sprayed on the fabric surface as a final step to prevent browning or stabilise fugitive dyes.
