Cleaning Systems Carpet Protector Solution – Oil & Water repellant protection for wool and synthetic carpets.

Mixing Guidelines: Dilute carpet treatment at 1 part concentrate to 2 parts water for wet (cleaned)carpet or 1 part concentrate to 4 parts water for application on dry carpet.

 

 

Application:

  • Carpet preparation: The carpet treatment may only be applied to clean carpet. Carpet cleaned before treatment should be free of excess shampoo or detergents before application.
  • Mixing Guidelines: Dilute carpet treatment at 1 part concentrate to 2 parts water for wet (cleaned) carpet or 1 part concentrate to 4 parts water for application on dry carpet.
  • Equipment preparation: Following the guidelines in the Application Manual pour the carpet protector in to the sprayer in a well ventilated area. Pressure the container per the manufacturers guidelines.
  • Spray Area preparation: Spray the wet carpet in a well ventilated area to assist drying time. If you can not get proper ventilation through the room we recommend the use of an airdrier. Minimise exposure to others by limiting the number of people in the area while spraying the product.
  • Spray applicator must be: An airless, pressure type sprayer operated at 30-45 psi. Power sprayers must not be used. Resistant to chemicals, including gaskets, fitting, hose etc Fitted with stainless steel or brass spray tip size 8004 Used for carpet protector only.
  • Spraying: Hold the spray gun approx, 30 to 60 centimetres from the carpet to be treated. Use a smooth, swinging back and forth motion, slightly overlapping previous passes to ensure finish is evenly applied, but avoid overspraying. Use approx 200 mls per square metre on wet carpet and 400 mls on dry carpet. Allow the carpet to dry before moving the furniture.
