Professional Hygiene & Restoration with KemSpec Deodor PreClean

KemSpec Deodor PreClean represents a critical bridge between standard cleaning and medical-grade sanitisation. In environments where organic contaminants are present, a simple detergent isn’t enough. Deodor PreClean breaks the molecular bond of stubborn greasy soils while providing a broad-spectrum biocidal action that eliminates smells at their biological source.

Why Restoration Professionals Choose Deodor PreClean

  • Dual-Action Performance: Acts as both a heavy-duty traffic lane cleaner and a potent antimicrobial agent, saving time on the job site.

  • Superior Oil Emulsification: Specifically balanced to dissolve protein-based stains, skin fats, and cooking greases that “shield” bacteria from standard cleaners.

  • Broad-Spectrum Sanitisation: Effectively reduces microbial loads in flood-affected carpets, trauma scenes, and high-bacteria environments like childcare centres or gyms.

  • Malodour Counteractant: Contains specialized chemistry that doesn’t just mask odours but destroys the chemical compounds that create them.

  • Fiber Versatility: Safe for use on most synthetic carpets and water-cleanable upholstery (always pre-test for colourfastness).

  • High Concentration: A highly economic formula designed for dilution via a pressure sprayer or hydroforce, making it cost-effective for large commercial projects.

Professional Application Guide

  1. Preparation: Thoroughly vacuum the area to remove all dry particulate soil before application.

  2. Dilution: For general use, mix 1:20 (50ml per Litre). For heavy restoration or trauma scenes, use 1:10 (100ml per Litre).

  3. Application: Spray evenly onto the affected area. Target heavy traffic zones or areas with visible organic soiling.

  4. Dwell Time: Allow KemSpec Deodor PreClean to dwell for 10–15 minutes. This is critical to allow the antimicrobial agents to achieve full microbial knockdown.

  5. Agitation: Agitate with a carpet brush or pile lifter for maximum soil suspension.

  6. Extraction: Extract the area using a high-quality extraction chemical (like KemSpec Hot Clean Extraction) or a neutralising rinse.

Directions for use on carpet:
Always test fabric for colorfastness before applying Deodor Preclean or any other product. Apply a small amount of cleaner to a clean, white cloth and gently blot test area. If no color transfers to cloth or no change in original fabric occurs, continue with directions below.

Spot Removal
Blot and agitate the spotting solution. Allow 5 minutes dwell time then extract or rinse with water.

Heavily Soiled Traffic Lanes
Pre-spray area to be cleaned at a rate of 200 to 400 sq. ft. per gallon, agitate Deodor Preclean thoroughly into the carpet’s pile, allow 10 minutes of dwell time then extract with an extractor using hot water and Safe Clean in the machine.

Interim Cleaning – Encapsulation Process
Pre-spray area to be cleaned at a rate of 1000 sq. ft. per gallon, agitate the pre-spray thoroughly into the carpet’s pile, and allow Deodor Preclean to dry before vacuuming. Use a commercial vacuum approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute.

Hot Water Extraction Process
Pre-spray area to be cleaned at a rate of 1000 sq. ft. per gallon, agitate Deodor Preclean thoroughly into the carpet’s pile, allow 10 minutes of dwell time then extract with an extractor using hot water and Safe Clean in the machine. Hot water extraction should be used a minimum of every 4th encapsulation cleaning. (A longer dwell time will be beneficial when strong odours are present.)

Drying
Use air movers to speed dry the carpet. Make sure the carpet is dry before traffic is allowed on it to prevent rapid re-soiling.

Directions for use in restrooms:
Restoration:
Mop tile and grout liberally especially around urinals and toilets, allow 10 minutes dwell time then scrub the floor paying particular attention to the areas under and around the urinals and toilets, rinse the floor using a clean damp mop and fresh cold water. Allow the floor to dry before putting the restroom back into service. (More dwell time will be beneficial when strong odours are present, using hot water will intensify the odour problem.)

Daily maintenance: Mop tile and grout liberally especially around urinals and toilets, allow 10 minutes dwell time then using a clean damp mop and fresh cold water rinse the floor. Allow the floor to dry before putting the restroom back into service.
