KemSpec Safe Clean (the official replacement for Textile Rinse) is a highly concentrated acidic extraction rinse designed to protect and restore New Zealand’s most delicate textiles. Formulated to return carpet and upholstery fibres to their natural acidic state ( $pH\ 2.5–3.5$ ), Safe Clean is your primary defence against cellulosic browning, yellowing, and fugitive dye migration.

Engineered for both truckmount and portable systems, this 20-litre bulk drum is an essential tool for high-volume residential and commercial cleaning. KemSpec Safe Clean does more than just rinse; it neutralises stubborn urine odours, removes road salt and calcium chloride deposits, and even accelerates drying times during flood restoration projects. Safe for use on all natural and synthetic fibres, it leaves textiles soft, residue-free, and professionally balanced.

Pretest for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before use.

For carpets and rugs

For portable machines add 200-800ml to 20 litres of water to rinse, as the final step in cleaning the carpet.
For truckmounts add 500ml per 10 litres to the chemical mix jug and set the flowmeter at 2-3 or according to truckmount manufacturer’s instructions.

For upholstery

- For portable equipment add 120ml to 5 litres of plain water to rinse fabric as the final step in a wet cleaning process.
- Safe Clean can also be sprayed on the fabric surface as a final step to prevent browning or stabilise fugitive dyes.
