KemSpec Safe Clean provides the critical final step in the cleaning cycle, ensuring that the aggressive alkaline pre-sprays used to break down grease don’t leave behind damaging residues.

KemSpec Safe Clean (the official replacement for Textile Rinse) is a premium, highly concentrated acidic extraction rinse designed to stabilise and restore delicate fibres. Formulated to return textiles to their natural acidic state (pH 2.5–3.5), Safe Clean is a professional’s primary defence against cellulosic browning, yellowing, and dye migration on both wool and synthetic carpets.

Ideal for the New Zealand technician, this 5-litre concentrate is versatile enough for use in both truckmounts and portable extractors. KemSpec Safe Clean goes beyond standard rinsing; it neutralises stubborn urine odours, removes ice-melt salts, and accelerates drying times during flood restoration projects. Safe for use on all natural and synthetic fibres, including silk and wool, it leaves textiles soft, vibrant, and free from soapy residues.

Directions:

Pretest for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before use.

For carpets and rugs 

  • For portable machines add 200-800ml to 20 litres of water to rinse, as the final step in cleaning the carpet.
  • For truckmounts add 500ml per 10 litres to the chemical mix jug and set the flowmeter at 2-3 or according to truckmount manufacturer’s instructions.

For upholstery

  • For portable equipment add 120ml to 5 litres of plain water to rinse fabric as the final step in a wet cleaning process.
  • Safe Clean can also be sprayed on the fabric surface as a final step to prevent browning or stabilise fugitive dyes.
