This foundation course is designed to teach the theory and practical skills required to successfully carry out cleaning and maintenance of hard (resilient) floors in a professional manner and in compliance with best industry practice.

There is a strong practical component to the course in order that trainees can gain hands-on experience with different types of resilient flooring (such as vinyl, hardwood and stone) found in both residential and commercial premises.  Trainees will also learn to use different products, equipment and tools.

Course coverage includes health and safety, best practice, surface stripping and sealing, faults and corrective measures and common pitfalls.
